Josh and his team did very well during the fall baseball season. They had a lot of fun and some of them enjoyed a night out at the Columbus Clippers playoff game.

It has been a busy summer- Josh Playing Baseball, 4H, Emily getting ready for Cheerleading, and preparing for winter- baling a lot of hay. The fall weather is starting to really settle in here in Ohio. The beans are turning and the corn is drying down.
We added another pasture area onto the Bull lot at dads farm along with a new shelter/ wind break. The lot comes in really handy in the fall and throughout the winter months. It allows the calves to get plenty of exercise and gives the bull buyers a nice area to view the calves and to make their selection. This is also provides a nice dry lot for our herd bulls during the spring AI breeding season.

The 2011 Hartford Fair was alot of fun again this year. Josh and Emily did well with their 2 Angus Pool Steers and their Simmental heifers. The steers graded Prime and Choice + at the carcass show.

We are planning to breed the January 3/4 blood Simmental heifer that Emily showed and use as one of our 2012 Ohio Beef Expo consignments. Look for this outstanding heifer in the upcoming sale. If you are interested in her before hand, stop by our farm before the beginning of December and you can take her home. She is currently for sale. After this date I will have her consigned to the sale.
